Each team must consist of a minimum of 3 students and a maximum of 6 student members, (optional) with one mentor from either the industry or academic institution.

Every participant must adhere to the DevHack 2024 guidelines, demonstrating respect and courtesy towards all team members, competitors, judges, coaches, volunteers, and others involved.

The prizes awarded to a specific team are to be distributed among all members of the team.

Attendance of all team members is mandatory at the event.

Team members may seek advice and support from organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and other available resources.

All project execution must occur during the hackathon, following these guidelines:
Each team will receive two judgment sessions.
The first judgment session will commence 2 hours after the event inauguration, with the final evaluation occurring 3 hours after the initial assessment.
Partial hardware and software design beforehand is permitted.
The ultimate decision regarding the project rests solely on the discretion of the jury or panel members.

Teams are permitted to work on ideas that have previously been implemented. If multiple teams choose to work on a common idea, they should be allowed to do so and will be evaluated based on the quality of their hack.

Teams are allowed to utilize libraries, frameworks, or open-source code in their projects. However, the final version of the product must not infringe upon any existing intellectual property rights (IPR).

Teams are required to stop hacking once the designated time is up. No further changes or addition of new features are permitted after this deadline.

At the discretion of the organizers, teams may be disqualified from the competition for reasons including but not limited to violating the DevHack Rules & Regulations, exhibiting behavior contrary to the code of conduct, and engaging in unsportsmanlike conduct.
